August 2023 — This month, we are proud to celebrate Mr. Le, Chief Operations Officer at PARPRO Technologies, who has been with the company for 40 years! He started as a production line assembly technician and has since steadily moved up through the ranks into leadership and executive management. Mr. Le’s long-term dedication, hard work, and leadership have been instrumental to our company’s success, and we are grateful for his remarkable contributions. Congratulations on reaching this impressive milestone, Mr. Le!

We would also like to recognize and celebrate all our PARPRO Technologies employees who have 20 or more years of service with our company. It is a significant achievement and a testament to our company’s ability to retain top talent and promote a supportive and inclusive work environment.

PARPRO Welcomes Opportunity to Reduce Power Consumption and Waste with UC Irvine’s SMART Industrial Assessment Center

UC Irvine’s SMART Industrial Assessment Center visited PARPRO Technologies, Inc.(PTI) to assess opportunities related to Energy Conservation, Waste Reduction, and Productivity Enhancements. A group of trained students from California State University Northridge and UC Irvine, led by Chelsea Choudhary, and experienced faculty, led by Dr. G.P. Li, Director UCI SMART IAC, toured PTI’s Santa Ana factory on February 8th. The Sustainable Manufacturing Alliance for Research and Training Industrial Assessment Center (SMART IAC) is part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Industrial Assessment Program, which is designed to assist small and medium manufacturing enterprises in reducing their energy cost by providing free energy efficiency assessments. PARPRO embraces this opportunity to identify new ways to reduce our power consumption and reduce our waste. The electronics industry is highly competitive in nature due to the increasing complexity of electronic products and rising pressure on OEMs to reduce costs. As product complexity continues to grow, the demand for high quality assurance in high speed placement process is rising. An example of supporting the trend toward high-performance devices/applications is where complex Bottom Terminated Components (BTC’s), such as high ball count BGA’s, and Micro-BGA’s below 0.4mm pitch, and QFN’s are widely used and minimal voiding and precision placement are top priorities. PARPRO has been manufacturing in California since 1981 and has tripled its production capacity in recent years for highly integrated electronics by investing in state-of-the-art equipment to support advanced technologies in the microelectronic world. This investment included multiple high speed Fuji precision placement platforms along with best in class inspection capabilities such as Inline 3D SPI, Inline 3D AOI, and Vitrox 3D Automated X-Ray. As an integral part of the new Fuji NXT SMT line, this high-resolution inspection system ensures placement accuracy, high yield repeatable productions of quality product and high accuracy defect detection capabilities, thus providing the customer with product peace of mind that effectively reduces the manufacturing costs while improving profitability.

As part of ongoing infrastructure upgrade, PARPRO also recently invested in a new large format Fuji AIMEX machine. With improved accuracy and quality, this new AIMEX line handles a wide range of panel sizes, is flexible and expandable providing high-mix, variable-mix and variable-volume production. Now with a total of three high speed SMT lines in California, PARPRO can reduce both NPI and production time on printed circuit board assemblies providing our customer the latest capabilities at production scale efficiency.

Another significant investment that sets PARPRO’s equipment portfolio apart includes two Flying Probe Test Systems. Featuring the Takaya APT-1400F, which is arguably the most tried-and-true PCBA testing technology, PARPRO can provide increased test speeds, improved board access, and greater over-all fault coverage. In addition, by bringing this next generation testing technology in-house PARPRO is able to dramatically reduce flying probe test lead-times, and eliminate the logistics and additional handling associated with outsourcing.
