The electronics industry is highly competitive in nature due to the increasing complexity of electronic products and rising pressure on OEMs to reduce costs. In general, OEMs need a manufacturing provider with the capacity and capabilities to meet their needs as well as a partner that provides quality product, on time and within budget. Most Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) companies can perform the same basic services, however every EMS is very different – this you can tell when you walk into a facility, examine the equipment and processes, and speak to the people.
As product complexity continues to grow, the demand for high quality assurance in high speed placement process is rising. An example of supporting the trend toward high-performance devices/applications is where complex Bottom Terminated Components (BTC’s), such as high ball count BGA’s, and Micro-BGA’s below 0.4mm pitch, and QFN’s are widely used and minimal voiding and precision placement are top priorities. PARPRO has been manufacturing in California since 1981 and has tripled its production capacity in recent years for highly integrated electronics by investing in state-of-the-art equipment to support advanced technologies in the microelectronic world. This investment included multiple high speed Fuji precision placement platforms along with best in class inspection capabilities such as Inline 3D SPI, Inline 3D AOI, and Vitrox 3D Automated X-Ray. As an integral part of the new Fuji NXT SMT line, this high-resolution inspection system ensures placement accuracy, high yield repeatable productions of quality product and high accuracy defect detection capabilities, thus providing the customer with product peace of mind that effectively reduces the manufacturing costs while improving profitability.
As part of ongoing infrastructure upgrade, PARPRO also recently invested in a new large format Fuji AIMEX machine. With improved accuracy and quality, this new AIMEX line handles a wide range of panel sizes, is flexible and expandable providing high-mix, variable-mix and variable-volume production. Now with a total of three high speed SMT lines in California, PARPRO can reduce both NPI and production time on printed circuit board assemblies providing our customer the latest capabilities at production scale efficiency.
Another significant investment that sets PARPRO’s equipment portfolio apart includes two Flying Probe Test Systems. Featuring the Takaya APT-1400F, which is arguably the most tried-and-true PCBA testing technology, PARPRO can provide increased test speeds, improved board access, and greater over-all fault coverage. In addition, by bringing this next generation testing technology in-house PARPRO is able to dramatically reduce flying probe test lead-times, and eliminate the logistics and additional handling associated with outsourcing.
“PARPRO Technologies, California is the most technologically advanced EMS factory in all of Southern California.” said Thomas Sparrvik, PARPRO CEO. “ Yes, that’s a bold statement, but you will be hard pressed to find a facility south of San Jose that can match the capabilities that PARPRO’s EMS facility in Santa Ana can provide.”
PARPRO understands the importance of investing in equipment with the latest technological advancements to ensure we are able to meet the complex products and ever increasing technical standards of our customer. Today, PARPRO Technologies comprises a portfolio of state-of-the art technologies and tools such as 3 new Fuji Lines (including large format), along with pick and place machines, Laser Depanelization System, Inline Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), Inline 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), new reflow ovens and the latest Vitrox 3D Automated X-ray (AXI). In addition, PARPRO offers complete testing services including the latest in Flying Probe test technology along with purpose-built system/board-level design and engineering. With that, PARPRO Technologies stands tall among the few Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) companies in California offering this capability at this level.
PARPRO is open for business, and facility visits under COVID-19 safety guidelines. If you are interested in knowing more about PARPRO’s EMS capabilities, please contact us and discover the benefits of partnering with PARPRO.
